Hollywood actress, Eva Longoria is stepping away from risqué photo shoots, and it’s due to motherhood.

 

In a new interview with Byrdie, the Desperate Housewives star opened up about how raising her six-year-old son, Santiago, has reshaped her perspective on her career and public image.

 

“I think, ‘Oh God, he’s going to see this one day,’” Longoria said, reflecting on some of her past revealing shoots. She shares Santiago with her husband, José Antonio “Pepe” Bastón.

“I definitely think more about what I want out in the world because my son is going to see it,” she added. “I think about whether he’d be proud of something or might be embarrassed.”

 

 

Longoria, who recently celebrated her milestone 50th birthday in March, says turning the big 5-0 has also influenced how she chooses to spend her time.

 

“When you’re young, you should say ‘yes’ to every opportunity so you can figure out what you want to do in life,” she said. “Now that I’m 50, I’m prioritizing differently. I’m curating my life to be very specific to what I want the next 50 years to look like.”

 

That new focus includes spending more time with her family, working less, and being intentional about her choices.

 

“I’m spending more time with my family, doing more of what I love. Being financially secure helps with those decisions, but I feel I’ve worked hard enough to say ‘no’ now,” she explained.

Longoria’s 50th birthday celebration was a lavish weekend affair in Miami, filled with multiple parties, outfit changes, and moments with her son by her side.

Santiago has also started accompanying his mom to public events. Just last month, the duo appeared together on the red carpet at the Global Gift Gala in Geneva, Switzerland. The six-year-old looked dapper in a blazer and long shorts, while Longoria dazzled in a silver Elie Saab gown.

Motherhood, Longoria says, continues to guide her choices both personal and professional, as she embraces this new chapter in her life.
